Our projects range from observational trials, randomized controlled trials, implementation studies to the co-design and evaluation of digital health tools deployed in healthcare systems and communities.

Lighter-Mets is a longitudinal research study designed to evaluate a structured lifestyle intervention for individuals with metabolic syndrome. Cardiovascular and metabolic health are often influenced by interconnected lifestyle habits; this programme aims to address these factors through evidence-based dietary and behavioural support. Over the course of one year, we aim to investigate how a combination of professional health coaching and digital health tools can support sustainable improvements in metabolic markers. Participants provide vital data through clinical assessments and, depending on their randomized study group, may gain access to personalized coaching and our dedicated research platform.

The preMELOW study explores the multifaceted experiences of perimenopause and post-menopause among women in Singapore. The transition into menopause is a significant biological and psychological phase, yet the factors that influence the severity and duration of symptoms remain insufficiently understood in the local context. Through this research, we seek to identify specific environmental, biological, and lifestyle factors that may trigger or alleviate menopausal symptoms. By documenting these lived experiences, our goal is to develop better clinical and community-based support systems for women navigating this life transition.

PRISM-I is a pilot study investigating the effectiveness of a personalized, stepped-care approach to managing insulin resistance. As metabolic health is highly individualized, a “one-size-fits-all” approach often fails to address the underlying complexities of metabolic syndrome. Our research integrates digital health interventions with wearable technology, including continuous glucose monitors and smart rings, to gather precise, real-time data. By analyzing these metabolic responses, we aim to develop a data-driven path toward sustainable metabolic management and improved health outcomes.

The MELOW (Midlife Empowerment and Longevity through Optimizing Wellness) study is a 12-month longitudinal research initiative evaluating a personalized wellness programme for midlife women with abdominal obesity. This study investigates the impact of integrated digital and biological monitoring on visceral adipose tissue, the management of menopausal symptoms, and the reduction of overall cardiometabolic risk. By utilizing longitudinal physiological assessments and advanced wearable technology, the research aims to establish evidence-based strategies for enhancing healthy longevity and metabolic resilience during the menopausal transition.
